Prayer is our personal communication with God. The Bible portrays prayer as a primary and powerful way of communing with God in worship and in guidance. As a body of believers we want to be faithful in prayer personally and corporately in various ways, including praying for each other, especially for our leaders and teachers, praying for our services and ministries, praying for special requests and significant situations, praying for spiritual revelation and healing, and for many other spiritual needs.

We affirm that praying can be done in various ways, but that praying is most effective when done with loving motivations in ways that are appropriate to the particular context. [Matthew 6:5-13, John 17, Acts 4:24-31, Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6-7, James 5:13-16]

Sunday Morning Prayer

Every Sunday morning at 8:30 am we gather for a prayer meeting prior to all our Sunday activities and worship service. We invite anyone who desires to come to meet together to lift up our Sunday mornings to the Lord to do with as He wills.

Thursday Evening Prayer

Each Thursday evening from 7:00 – 10:00 pm the church is open for prayer in an informal atmosphere where one can feel free to bring their prayers and petitions to God in a group setting. People are encouraged to come and pray for Spiritual guidance and direction for our church, and for Spiritual guidance and direction for our leaders.

For more information or to get involved contact Nathan or Sherry Wall.

Prayer for Schools

A group of people meet at Cornerstone monthly to lift up in prayer the local schools and the kids in our community. Anyone is welcome to come and join to pray together. For more information or to get involved contact Jenna Friesen.
