Prayer is our personal communication with God. The Bible portrays prayer as a primary and powerful way of communing with God in worship and in guidance. As a body of believers we want to be faithful in prayer personally and corporately in various ways, including praying for each other, especially for our leaders and teachers, praying for our services and ministries, praying for special requests and significant situations, praying for spiritual revelation and healing, and for many other spiritual needs.
We affirm that praying can be done in various ways, but that praying is most effective when done with loving motivations in ways that are appropriate to the particular context. [Matthew 6:5-13, John 17, Acts 4:24-31, Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6-7, James 5:13-16]
